Community

Part of our mission is to engage our community and we are proud to offer programs in addition to our concerts that not only educate, but excite and delight!

Join us after our Masterwork Concerts next door at the Albany Area Arts Council (the Carnegie Library) for a unique opportunity to interact with the guest artists, our ASO musicians, fellow audience members and patrons. Ask questions, share your thoughts and experiences, and most of all enjoy food, drink, and each other’s company!

Pre-concert FAQs at 6:30 p.m.

All your questions answered and more! Join us at 6:30pm before each Masterworks concert for a Q&A with Claire Fox Hillard and gain insight into the music, composers, musicians, and instruments you will be enjoying during that evening’s concert. This unique opportunity is FREE to the public and is a great way to kick off the evening!

10:00 - 11:15 a.m. (denoted by musical note )

We are partnering with Albany ARC for our new Pay-What-You-Can community arts inclusion program. By offering an opportunity to attend a dress rehearsal in a more relaxed environment, those in the community who might otherwise be unable to afford to attend, may have a stigma towards such an experience, or may be concerned about the time constraints involved, are encouraged to explore that magical world of live music in their own way.
