The tradition continues with the Albany Symphony Orchestra’s 58th season, presenting a variety and diversity of great symphonic music for southwest Georgia audiences. From the music of Beethoven, Berlioz, and Bottesini, to the sounds of the holiday season, to Ravel’s rousing “Bolero,” each concert will also feature a composition by a female composer.
The Albany Symphony Orchestra new season also incorporates some changes, which are being instituted following the Covid-19 shutdown. These changes take into account you - our patron - offering flexibility, variety, and convenience. Some concerts will be offered on different days of the week, rather than the traditional Saturday performance. Also, concerts will begin earlier, at 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm, rather than the traditional 7:30 pm.
And, most concerts will be shorter and presented without intermission.
Based on patron feedback, beginning this season concert tickets can be used for any performance – so if you miss a concert, you can bring a friend to the next performance! A convenience with you, our patrons with busy schedules, in mind.
Join us again this season for Symphony Sundays at Pretoria Fields. Enjoy the sounds of ASO musicians in a relaxed, casual environment up close & personal. Throughout the season hear other ensemble such as the ASO brass quintet and get to know your symphony members!
